most of the deviations featured will be from my first account

so long ago, after seeing that one of my best friends having a deviantart account, I decided to make one just for the heck of it
I called myself minaynguyen since I kinda wanted my username to be close to my real name and I can't use my real name since there are bunch of other people in the world who have the same name as me
this is the first thing I submitted onto this website on May 31, 2011 which is also the same day I made my account
Colors of a Peacock by Orchid-Bud

After this, I submitted a variety of things to this site whether it be a drawing, painting, fan art, photography, whatever
examples:
Colorful Ruffles by Orchid-BudKarupin by Orchid-BudGreens by Orchid-Bud

At some point, I changed my username to Orchid-Bud to match my tumblr url

This is the first deviation of mine that received 100 favorites
Warriors with Fans by Orchid-Bud

I was so happy when that happened

I also started to do feature journals like these just to get some artists I liked recognized

2013-2014 is what I considered to be the best years for me as an artist because I kinda liked the results of what I drew or painted and I can see that I improved as an artists when I compared my stuff now to then. I shudder seeing my stuff then
Winter Woods by Orchid-BudShells with Pearl by Orchid-Bud

Snake by Orchid-Bud

Also, it was the best years as an artist for me because I sold my own art! Sure it was hard parting with it since I was really proud of how it came out but you gotta do what you gotta do for money (I will admit I really love money)

this is what I sold - a Yulia Brodskaya inspired paper graphic brain illustrating the concepts of the left and right brain
Left vs Right by Orchid-Bud

Eventually I hated my first account so much that I created a new account and here I am

I know I haven't submitted a lot of things but I will sooner or later and who knows what might happen in the time yet to come
